multiple field returns
I have a list of around 1000 names, separated into first
name in one cell, and surname in the next, with an employee number in the third. I need to create a search which will allow me to enter either of these values (first name, or surname, or employee number), and bring back the other two peices of info. e.g Alan Bennett 0001 Alan Jones 0002 Alan Smith 0003 I have tried using a vlookup, but if I enter "alan" it only returns info on the first one. Any ideas how I can get it to display all of them? Thanks Ian |

Use a filter instead, preferably autofilter. Even if you could use vlookup
(you can) it will only return the first instance of for example Alan. -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom "Ian P" wrote in message ...
