Default Installing without CD-reader

How to install an Office Home & Student-licence to a mini-PC when I have no
CD-reader on the mini-PC? Copied the whole CD to an external hard drive (USB)
from another PC and tried to install from the external hard drive. Started
setup manually, filed in my licence No but during install process I get error
No 1706.
Is there anyway to download the install from Microsoft.com, using my bought
license No? Other useful ideas?

See

assistance to your issue.

The other way to accomplish the install is to copy the "whole CD" to the
hard drive of the mini-PC and install from there (if you have sufficient
drive space.)

I have installed from USB drives all versions of Office, from 4.3 up to and
including 2007, without an issue so I know it can be done.
