how do i send a picture to a friend
"lauren" wrote in message ... please help i really need to send this phota 1. Click this link www.yahoo.com 2. Internet Explorer will start and take you to Yahoo!. 3. Create a mail account. 4. Sign in to the mail account you just created. 5. Compose a new message addressed to your friend 6. Select Attach File, and navigate to the file you want to attach. Select it, or select several, then click Attach. 7. When the picture(s) is(are) uploaded, click Send Now. Why do you need help with a fundamental operation of your computer? |

"JoAnn Paules" wrote in message ... Tha depends on your email program. -- JoAnn! You know that isn't true. No matter what e-mail program she has, she can go to Yahoo! and sign up for an account. She can also go to MSN or Google and sign up. Even if she already has an e-mail account that she reads with Outlook or Outlook Express or Thunderbird or any of a dozen others, she can send an e-mail through Yahoo! by using the method I described for her. |

Why sign up for another email address when chances are they already have
one? It's a royal PITA to have to check multiple email addresses and remember who has which address. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Jeff Strickland" wrote in message ... But if one has an email program that they don't know how to use anyway -- the OP is asking how to send an attachment -- then it seems to me that they don't what they do or don't have, and a new e-mail address is likely to be the only one they will use. |

So rather than learn how to use a tool they already have, you think it's a
better idea to have them learn something else? Okay. I don't agree with you but your way is a doable option. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Jeff Strickland" wrote in message ... Given the questioin asked, the only reasonable assumption is, 1.) she has no
e-mail program that she uses, else she would not ask how to do such a fundamental operation as attach a file, 2.) since she has no e-mail that she uses, then giving her information on how to create an e-mail account seemed a reasonable thing to do. Clearly, using an account she already has is better than making a new account, but if she had an account and needed to ask how to attach a file, starting from scratch is not any more difficult than using what she already has.
