clipboard full

I'm using (office 2000 pro) Word and when tring to copy my second selection to clipboard I get unable to save clipboard full. I've been doing this for months and have had no problems. I emptied clipboard and restarted computer and that didn't work. It appears to be (trying) saving both copies in the same clipboard panel. When I click on paste one page paste and if I hit paste again another page pastes on top, but the clipboard shows only 1 of 12 panels used. If I hit paste all 2 pages are pasted on top on each other. I'm not anyway near 4 meg mem. Can anyone help?
