Default Hard Drive Crash

I had a Hard Drive Crash with no backup. I had a local company install a new
hard drive and when I got it back I had no Office Programs. I originally had
Office 97 preinstalled and bought an Office 2000pro upgrade. I had used the
Office Suite for 4 years with no problems. How can I get 97 reinstalled so
that I can use my upgrade, or should I just wait on Office 7?

If you don't have an Office 97 disk you can't install the Office 2K upgrade.
The normal way to install an upgrade on a new computer is to start the
upgrade disk installation and when the installation program asks for a
qualifying product you insert the older program's install disk in the drive
and let the upgrade program read from it to verify qualification. Then you
remove the old program install disk and insert the upgrade disk back in the
drive.

To get Office 97 disk you may be able to purchase one on eBay or Amazon for
a relatively inexpensive amount. Doesn't matter which version you have as
long as you have the disk. Don't even need the 97 version key.
