Pivot Charts $amounts?
I’m new to Pivot Charts (Excel 2003) and need help. The goal is to show the
total amount attributed to each university each year. Row Fields = years Column Fields = universities Data Items = $amounts The result shows the number of times each year funds were attributed to each university and totals at the bottom. However, it does not show the dollar amounts. Is there any way to see both? (ex. 50k in years 1,2,3 and 25K in years 3, 4,5 to X university, totaling 225K in 6 entries to X university)? Thanks! |

Pivot Charts $amounts?
Hi,
I think you want to see the Count and the Sum? If so add the amount field to the data area a second time and, if necessary, right-click the new field and choose Field Settings and change the Summarize by to Sum. I often find the default layout when you do this to be less than satisfactory. In which case I would put the Universities into the Row area and drag the "Data" button to the Column area. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button.
