Busted that theory: Clicked Work Offline and was able to reade the outlook
message. However, clicked on next message and Outlook stops responding
again!

I'm thinking that when Internet Explorer stops working offline - the problem
reoccurs - So how do I lock Internet Explorer so that Work Offline stays
ticked? I make a point of not closing IE but for some reason it goes back
online.
