Connecting to Net w/ IE 6
I've had a wireless router that's been working well for years. It still is,
but with only 1 of our laptops. I recently got back from a biz trip where my card worked well w/ the hotel network. However, while it picks up an Excellent signal from the router, I cannot connect to the Net. I'm also having problems when I click on Detect Proxy Settings-it won't seem to work. I've tried repairing the connection, but it continually reports it's unable to do so. It's not the card, because I tried the card in my wife's laptop and it works fine. Help please! Thanks in advance. |

Do you require a proxy? Can you manually set the IP address and DNS server (router address) and connect? What do IPconfig show? Have you flushed the DNS cache? |
