how to increase number of records

I have a data base for books and authors. However, I cannot make any entries
beyond 457 records. How can I increase the number of records in Access?

What are you using when you try to enter records - table or form?

I've seen tables with over twenty million records. You have some OTHER
problem!

What error message are you getting? How are you entering data -
directly to the Table, to a Query, via a Form (preferable), via an
import, or what?
