getting rid of bluebackground in template

How do I get rid of the blue background that appears everytime I start a new
Word document. ??

Tools - options - general tab - remove the check next to blue background
white text.

Tools Options General
Uncheck "Blue background, white text."

Also, if checked, you want to uncheck the options having to do with Word
Perfect.
