I didn't see any of the other messages that supposedly gat you answers. My
suggestion wehn you are saving a Word document is to "Save As..." and use the dropdown menu. ON my menu it is the 6th choice. Rich Text Format (.rft) "ptrck" wrote: I am trying a normal word doc into a rtf. What manipulation do I need to do? Thanks Patrick

Graham, Sorry I ruffled your feathers. I didn't see the message at all when
I first viewed this link. It was not connected to this thread, and I didn't see it. I was on this site to learn something for myself, and saw something that interested me, and tried to help. No feathers ruffled, merely pointing out the unnecessary duplication of
