I found the duplex dll that was suggested to run a "manual" duplex printing
of a booklet, but when I used it for my Brother MFC Laser I was not asked to
turn over the booklet to print the other side. Did I do something wrong?

Yes, that is correct. That is how manual duplexing works.

sussertown was very recently
heard to utter:

Did you use the button provided by the add-in to print the booklet?

I guess I didn't see a button.

Let me try it this way:
I don't see the button. Where is it?
I think the dll is in the wrong location. The info was that the dll could go
just about anywhere.

Did you install the add-in through Tools Add-ins?

If you go to Tools Add-ins now, is the add-in listed?

I used add ins, but when I reopen Publisher the add in is in the window with
the check box unchecked.

Go to Tools Macros Security Trusted Publishers.
Make sure that the "Trust all installed templates and add-ins" box is
checked.
Restart Publisher, see if the add-in loads.

This time the dll remained checked, but when I reloaded publisher and opened
the brother printer dialog, there was no button regarding duplex printing or
anything similar. Does it need to be in a special directory?

Susser,

The new Duplex button should appear on your Publisher toolbar up top. If you
are not seeing it, be sure to Right Click on your toolbar and make sure that
the Duplex Toolbar is selected.

I would post a screenshot, but I am not sure if the web based newsgroups
show screenshots.
