What is WVPH ?
What error do they get that necessitates renaming them? Did you also try
using fixmapi.exe?
Are they using any mapi-enabled programs?

I was able to rename them. but afterwards get the same error as before
fixmapi does/done nothing
would there be anything mapi related on a fresh install?

what are some other mapi-related software that could be causing this

Thanks

eudora, older versions of photoshop, accounting software plus a few other
things.

Did you try office diagnostics? Do you have antivirus software integrated
with outlook?
What is the exact error message you get?
