With Publisher 2003 there was an icon in the toolbar which allowed you once
you had highlighted your text to get it neatly justified into the textbox,
both left and right.
With the new Publisher 2007 the only options are left align and centre align
- what has happened to the justifying option - this seems to be a retrograde
step in what is supposed to be an advanced programme.

I just opened a text box in Pub2007: left align, right align, centre,
justified. Take your pick.

There should be a chevron you can expand on the toolbar that will give you all
the alignment options. Once you use the full justified option it will stay
visible.

Thanks for this information, but can you give me an indication of where this chevron is located on the screen, as I have been unable to find it

John I open a text box on a new page, but nothing visible on the screen changes and the only options on the toolbar are left align and centre align, where on the screen do you find justify?

Please please _ I am a beginner with Publisher 2007 - I was quite happy with
the old 2003. I have been all through the different options available on the
screen to find anything that says justify. You say there is a chevron
somewhere - can you please give me some indication where I can find this
elusive thing that seems to be missing from my options either across the
screen or down the left hand side.
