Protecting some parts of a Word form
Hello All;
Not sure if I am in the correct section, but, here goes. In Word 2000, I was able to lock different parts of as form using "sections". I can not seem to find this in Word 2003. This is what I am trying to do. I have a form that also has some documentation. Within the documentation there is a link to send a e-mail. Once you lock the form, I am not able to launch the e-mail. Any ideas Thanks all Chomp |

Protecting some parts of a Word form
From the Tools menu, Select Protect Document then in Section 2 - Editing
restrictions of the Protect Document task pane, check the box and then select Filling in forms from the pull down. If your document contains more than one section, there will be a Select sections... link in blue text. Click on that and you can control to which sections the protection is applied. Even with part of the document unprotected, you may need to use a macrobutton field for the email See the article "Using MacroButton fields" at: http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...acroButton.htm -- Hope this helps.
