I'm attempting to put together a program/brochure for an upcoming meeting. I
want it to be on 11x17 paper, folded in half, to equal 4 pages for print. Is
there a template in publisher that will help with this?

Can your printer print 11X17 stock?

Use the booklet setup.

Yes, that isn't the problem - and I've used the booklet set up, but
apparently the wrong page size or something. When it prints, either it puts
the type in the center of the page (instead of using the whole 1/2 sheet) or
it makes the entire page into an 11x17 poster.

Obviously you are using 2007.

Be sure your printer is setup first for 17 X 11 landscape.

Page setup, select Advanced on the right. Choose booklet, type 8.5 width, 11
height. You can set the margins in this setup or on the publication screen.
Publisher will ask about 4 pages, click yes.

When you are ready to print, make sure your settings are correct in the Print
dialog. There is a print preview here as well.
