Outlook 2003 with Word 2002 (XP)
Hi,
I have a client who has Office XP (2002) installed. We upgraded his Outlook to 2003 (from the Exchange server CDs). Now he cannot use Word 2002 as his e-mail editor. Under Mail Format, the check boxes for using Word as your e-mail editor are greyed out, because they say "using Word 2003". Can you still use Word 2002 as your e-mail editor in Outlook 2003? And if so, how can you turn it on? Thanks a bunch. Bart |

Hi There
I Had the same challenge and resolved it with a registry entry. It works great and Outlook 2003 believes that Word 2002 is its default mail editor and uses Word 2002 to read rtf mail so that your web links work. give me a shout if you want me to mail you the the contents of the 2 keys and you can then create your own reg keys. I will send it to you in notepad. Cheers Eugene "Chris Schatte" wrote in message ... Bart, Outlook and Word have to be the same version. Why don't you just post the text of the reg file here, Eugene? I'm sure
other people would be interested, too. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Eugene" wrote in message om... I have the registry entries from Eugene. He also gave me some GPO templates
that may work. The registry entry did not work for me, but maybe you have better luck. Please contact me by e-mail and I will forward them to you. I tried to attach them to a message here but they are "too big". Bart Verwilt Pro-2-Call Network Consulting, LLC |
