Outlook believes you want to connect to an Exchange server. Open the Mail
applet in Control Panel, remove the Exchange service and add in the Internet
Mail service. Define your mail account there.

Hi I am now nearly there, many thanks. I have done that, now do I type in
all the boxes etc all my isp details that I am using for e-mail and IE from
my isp?

Use ToolsE-mail AccountsAdd to add a new mail account, specifying for the
server values the data your ISP gave you.
