Default Outlook crashes Short time after startup

I'v a problem with outlook 2003
I've installed on several PC 's (win XP SP1 and win2k SP4) and on more the
half of the PC's Outlook 2003 crashes after a few actions.

I recieve the folowing error.
AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 11.0.6353.0 AppStamp:408f2937
ModName: mso.dll ModVer: 11.0.6360.0 ModStamp:40d147de
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00034359

And I find this msg in the application Log
Faulting application outlook.exe,
version 11.0.6353.0, stamp 408f2937,
faulting module mso.dll,
version 11.0.6360.0, stamp 40d147de,
debug? 0, fault address 0x00034359.

What I already found:

There are no problems during the installation of Office 2003.
Everything is working fine except outlook 2003.
There is no special action to undertake for generating the error.
It isn’t related to an Operating System (It happens on win 2K and win XP)
The origin of the error is still unknown.
Repair of Office 2003 doesn’t fix the problem.
Full uninstall/reinstall of Office2003 doesn’t fix the problem.
Problem can happen immediately or after some time (from a few days till a
more than a month).
There has been no connection found with Add-ins or COM’s.
The problem is related to the PC and not the account.
The problem occurs with and without the Office 2003 patches.

Does anyone has the same problem or maybe even better, a sollution?

Good Morning Luc,

I'm sorry for replying to your problem. I think first you should build a
test computer to explore this problem. I would use the XP pro system only.
Second i think you should update that computer with all microsoft patches and
both xp pro SP1 and SP2, and all office updates after you install office,
before opening outlook. Then load outlook to see the reaction. Until this
problem is solved i would use the xp pro system.

Good Luck

Yeeees, I have exactly the same problem, I uninstall and re-install in
different locations, I run all the texts you can imagen, I have up to date
all the XP and Office SPs, patches and nothing. Totally useless.

As I can see from this Forum and 3 other more, that there are hundreds of
affected by this horrible nightmare but nobody can find a solution, including
Mr Gate's geeks (maybe they are not so good after all...), so this
application is obviously faulty by birth. It did never happened with Office
97! Actually I am running a "Frankeinstein" hybrid Office 2003 Pro-Outlook97
but you don't want to know the mess that is doing on my PC... but I have not
choice, I just needed for my business. The shop refuse to refund so I am
putting the issue in the hands of my solicitor. And the press...

Same problem. System had Office 2000 which was upgraded to Office
Professional 2003. OS = Windows 2000 Pro, SP4 with all patches. So far the
problem is only showing up on three Dell Optiplex GX260 systems.

Default Outlook crashes Short time after startup

I am happy to say that after spending 2 hours on the phone w/MS the problem
is finally gone!!!!! According to MS sometimes the files Outlook uses become
corrupted when your virus/ad-aware programs scan them. We had to go into a
bunch of folders and also msconfig and rename a bunch of files and it fixed
the problem. If you want to know what files to rename let me know. I'm
somewhat computer literate, however I cannot exactly remember where I had to
navigate to in order to get to the files.
