Default Military time computation/Overtime??

Hi
try
A21:
=MIN(SUM(A1:A20),TIME(40,0,0))
A22:
=MAX(SUM(A1:A20)-TIME(40,0,0),0)

Format both cells with the custom format [hh]:mm or the format given to
you in a previous post
Note: 1 hour = 1/24 - 40 equals to 40 days and not 40 hours in your
previous formulas

Dear All, I have developed a timesheet for employees.
It uses military start and end time. Thanks to a recent suggestion I
can now show hours over 24!
My problem is I would still like to creat Column A that reflects
employee hours UP to EQUAL 40 hours, when a 40 hour work week is
exceeded that column B felect ONLY those hours over 40. A suggestion
was: a21: =min(sumA1:a20),40) a22: = max(sum(a1:a20)-40,0)
I computed a military time of hours worked for 44 hours 15 min, and
the return using that formula was 0002?!?!?
Help?!

Thanks for all the valuable help,
Tom Pacific Northwest, USA

Tried that and with44:15 (employee hours worked) I get back 16:00, trying to get it to be 4:15
The formula with -TIME results in a ######## response!
