Military time computation/Overtime??
Hi
try A21: =MIN(SUM(A1:A20),TIME(40,0,0)) A22: =MAX(SUM(A1:A20)-TIME(40,0,0),0) Format both cells with the custom format [hh]:mm or the format given to you in a previous post Note: 1 hour = 1/24 - 40 equals to 40 days and not 40 hours in your previous formulas -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany Tom wrote: Dear All, I have developed a timesheet for employees. It uses military start and end time. Thanks to a recent suggestion I can now show hours over 24! My problem is I would still like to creat Column A that reflects employee hours UP to EQUAL 40 hours, when a 40 hour work week is exceeded that column B felect ONLY those hours over 40. A suggestion was: a21: =min(sumA1:a20),40) a22: = max(sum(a1:a20)-40,0) I computed a military time of hours worked for 44 hours 15 min, and the return using that formula was 0002?!?!? Help?! Thanks for all the valuable help, Tom Pacific Northwest, USA |

The formula with -TIME results in a ######## response! Tom |
