Validation question

Is there a way to creat a drop down list where each item has a definition,
but when you pick that item only item appears. Example: 03 - Net 30 days ;
04 - Net 45 days. When you pick one of those, all you want in the cell is
the "03" or the "04". thanks . Comicfly
