Pivot table from ODBC database problems

Hi all,

I'm trying to resolve a problem in creating an Excel
pivot table from an external ODBC data source. The data
is in an Access database set up as an ODBC data source,
and the data can all be read by SQL queries, MS Query
tool etc. However, attempting to pull a particular day
of entries from a particular table into a pivot table
gives a 'Microsoft ODBC driver error' message, followed
by 'Problems obtaining data'.

The data for the day can be accessed via other methods
and appears completely normal. Has anyone seen any
similar situation / know any solutions?
