after trying out different fonts on a business card, I saw th eoutput was
prinitng off center. I have tried to use Align and other featires but I
stumped: the cards still print off center. These are cards with an outline

Are you setting up your page as a business card as opposed to creating them yourself?
Is this a 10 card setup?
There are templates here
http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=38
If you are going to print each card the same, the page setup is your best bet. When
you go to print (2000 and below) change how many cards per page, change the margins
to .75 side margin, .5 top margin and zero for each of the gaps.
In Publisher 2002-03, the copies per sheet is on the print setup page.

thanks. I was using the templates that are provided - an dprinting a 10 card
payout - and had good luck until I tried to redo the text an dhad to resize
the etxt boxes. Even though it looked OK when I printed the borered cards
saw they wer eoff center and I wa sunable to get them "centered" on the card
page.

The only way that would happen is if your gaps or margins are set incorrectly or you
are feeding the cards into printer wrong. The printer could have a faulty roller...
