Default how to open plastic packaging?

am I the only person who can't figure out how to open the plastic
packaging/case that MS Office 2007 comes in?

I tried pinching the two inset tabs but nothing happened.

the package looks like its hinged

there is a clear plastic sticker over the genuin MS product label
so I'm afraid to peel that off because I don't know if it
ruins the genuine label.

oh well, I try some more, don't want to wait for an answer...

I didn't see a way to update or edit my original question so I'm replying to
my own question -

as it turns out I just had to cut that clear plastic (round) sticker at the
edges
and then pull on the red tag and it opens/pivots out

didn't even break a nail :-)

I take extra care not to break my nails. I pay good money for my manicures!
;-)

Once you know how to open it, seems pretty easy, huh?

It seems like a huge waste of plastic to me; is the box at least recyclable?

I don't know - and I'm not sure if we kept it or not. My gut reaction is
that it's not recyclable but I'd love to be proved wrong.

Don't throw out the box. The Product Code you need to activate the
software is on a sticker attached to the inner "drawer" portion of the
box, visible only after you open it by rotating the hinge.

Do you happen to have the case? Is it by chance a type 1 or 2 plastic?

I had to think about what the heck you were answering...then I remembered.
It's recyclable in my neck of the woods.
