Default Installing Office Pro 2003

I purchased this through the Home Use Program at my work. I installed it and
everything seemed fine until today. Every time I would try to open a Word
document it would do some kind of strange "installer" thing and then not
work. So I uninstalled the whole Office 2003. But now I can't reinstall it. I
put in my key ... then it starts doing its thing. And then pops up with a box
that it could not install the program and wants to report the issue to
Microsoft or whatever. I'm SO frustrated.

Hi, Brandy,

Try these first:

1. Run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove registry references
to Office 2003.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us

2. Clean out your temp folder: probably c:\windows\temp, c:\windows\tmp,
c:\winnt\temp, c:\winnt\tmp, c:\temp or c:\tmp

3. Run a scandisk

4. Defragment your hard drive

5. Reboot your PC and try to re-install Office. You may want to install it
as the administrator.

If that doesn't work, or if you need information about doing any of those
steps, please post back. Please include what operating system you are
using.

Anything that refers to Office 2003. Is there anything listed that is
related to that?

I'm sorry!!! I didn't think about the caps being on b/c I had them on to type
in the key for the Office 2003 installation ... that still isn't working.

Any ideas to the question I asked above?

Not really because I'm having a hard time reading it. between all caps and
no spaces, my eyes just go blurry.
