I'm having an issue with text disappearing in Publisher 2003. Not only
is the text not visible, but it cannot be highlighted or have a cursor
inserted. Stranger yet, it seems to be random, with some lines in a
text box disappearing and others remaining. If I save the file,
sometimes the text returns. If I close and reopen the file, it always
returns.

I have a decade of experience in Publisher (since 97). I am also an IT
admin, and I can guarrantee I am using the latest drivers available
for my FireGL V3400.

I know the Pub 2000 had an issue with bloating filesizes on resave.
Since this is a file I edit and save with a different filename every
week, I'm wondering if there is some text corruption...

Any ideas?

Saving and re-saving is probably the reason for the corruption. Start from
scratch. Copy all the text and paste to a new instance of Publisher.

I have one 2003 file that is experiencing a similar problem you are asking
about. I cannot figure out why. Could be the reason is I originally had the text
in Word and pasted it over into Publisher. I created a new publication and
pasted the Publisher text into it. It still misbehaves.
