Default PowerPoint presentations hangs on my PC

When goint thorugh a presentation it hangs and don't react on mouse clicks
for 10-20 seconds each time I stops on a slide more than a few seconds.
The same presenations can be run on other PC's without this problem.
I don't know if it is a PowerPoint problem or a OS problem.
I have made all sort of clean ups, defragmentation and virus checking on my
PC without sucess. Any ideas?

Micminar,

On the troublesome PC, does it have an internet connection that is
connected?

I'm guessing that there is something in the presentation that's trying to
'connect' to something, either on the internet, or on a local network
connection.

This is my line of thinking....
PowerPoint connects to the internet unexpectedly

Im having a similar problem playing my presentation on a mac, it works
and then occassionally it will stick on a slide and not move off, this
happens on slides that are set to advance off immediately, I had a
look at the link you suggested but i dont think the problem is that
its trying to connect to the internet as there isnt internet
connection on the mac iam using... do you have any other suggestions
on why this might be happening?

Thanks for your reply! You might be up to something, but if so it must be
more "hidden". Offline or online - it does not make any different. And why
does it only happen when I am presenting and have a few seconds delay before
I show the next slide? Is there any way I can find these "codes"?

Can it be a setting in my PowerPoint or my OS? I just can't figure out
what... But I appreciate all suggestions that might help!

Best regards
Micmimar

Hi Cheryl and thanks for your reply.

Been out a few days having presentations and struggeling with the "hick ups".
I do not think it is trying to connect to internet, but I start to think
that it has something to do with the setup against a PC projector.
Need to investigate further. If you finds any solutions please tell!
Best regards
