Default Calculating Ages

I am trying to find a formula that will calculate ages in
one column based on a birthdate entered into a previous
column on a worksheet, that will update on a daily basis
dependent on the date value that the computer has. I know
that Excel treats date values differently depending on the
version you have and I have Excel 2000.
Any help would be gratefully received.
