Looking for my Message Store

Looking for my Message Store
Open the registry editor to the appropriate GUID for the identity involved
and check this key for the location where the program is searching for the message store folder: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook Express\5.0 and look in the right hand pane for the "Store Root" and check the location shown there which can be edited to a new store folder if needed. Looking for my Message Store
Thanks, Jim,
Besides being 'not familiar" I'm 78, and the grey matter is now a very light grey. I opened regedit and clicked on help and tried a search for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities and got nowhere, so I haven't even been able to view what the current settings are yet. I'll keep reading and will try to absorb the 'basics' and will report back in a week or so. Thanks, Fred PS Meantime is there any merit to my suggestion that I should: 1. Create a new folder called 'Microsoft' in the empty GUID folder. 2. Create a new folder called 'Outlook Express' in the new 'Microsoft' folder 3.Follow the instructions (given by Bruce)to move the store folder and move it to a new folder on your C Drive. Any place is acceptable How about my newly created 'Outlook Express' folder? That would seem to recreate the path that WAS my default location of the store folder Thanks, F.
