Office 2007 B2TR "will not go away"
I've tried everything to uninstall the B2TR refresh for Office 2007
Professional AND Office 2007 Professional Visio including removing all of Office 2003 as well. The system "shows" no presence of Office, all files/folders deleted and the registry allegedly shows no presence, yet installing a NEW version of Office 2007 (full new release) fails as it will not "upgrade" a beta version??? A separate install for Office 2007 Visio Standard (full new release) fails for the same reason. There are no options on the installs, they just fail and "disappear". Microsoft offer no help as far as I can see unless I pay £50 to get their so called technical help. Has anybody else had this problem, if so, could they tell me what I'm missing so I can install the products and do some work!!!! Thanks. |

No, you didn't try everything as there have been hundreds if not thousands of posts about this issue and they all are available by searching the archives of this group.

I am far from perfect but I am diligent and do my homework first before asking anything.

The moral of this story being "if you have a problem then do as much research
as you can, and when for whatever reason you have failed to come up with an answer and you seek advice in all good faith, remember that whilst you may be fortunate enough to receive the advice you were looking for you it may well be accomppanied by the derision of a bigot". If you ever have a question on the IBM Developer or Java Developer sites you will see a more "professional" form of help. Why are you calling her a bigot? That's completely out of line! If you don't
agree with her comment, fine. But to turn around call her an ugly name shows ignorance on your part. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] ~~~~~ How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375 "roy-w" wrote in message ... Office 2007 B2TR "will not go away"
Milly,
I am having problems with uninstalling also, and tried the 92818 instructions to no avail. I get a message when I right-click the msi and select uninstall that says the installation source is not available. This all started by my trying to upgrade Office Basic 2007 to Office Professional 2007. Paid for the basic, paid for the upgrade and can't get it to install. The regular install which should work just fails-I had to dig through the logs to find any error messages.
