Each time I bring up Word,Excel or Outlook,I am prompted to accept or decline
use of the license before the program will run. I am using Windows 7
Enterprise. Never had this problem with Windows XP or Vista

I installed Office '07 Professional (now, I'm not sure about that, but it
was not Home and Student) over the past weekend and I dragged Word, Excel,
and Power Point from the Start Menu to the Desktop, then on to the Quick
Launch Bar. The shortcuts kept invoking the license agreement, but the links
from the Start Menu worked fine -- no license agreement after the first
time. I deleted all of the shortcuts and made new ones, and now I have no
problems.

I'm not certain, but I think I must have created the shortcuts before
opening the programs for the first time.

If you open from shortcuts that you placed onto the desktop or the quick
launch bar, then try opening the apps from the Start All Programs menu and
see if they work properly from there. If so, delete all of your shortcuts
and make new ones.

Really? I hope the Microsoft guys and gals are looking.

This is a common problem that generally invokes a wide array of links to
updates and edits to the Registry. Before I looked at any of them I looked
at some contamination of the shortcuts caused by my poor timing. Seems to
me, the easy-stuff-first approach to life came through again.

I can't help but notice that you made the exact same Reply to another
suggestion.

What worked?
