Default Spacing the chapters from the pages in a table of contents

I am trying to put the dot leaders in the line between the chapter name and
the page number.

If you use Word's built-in TOC feature, this will be automatic (see
http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/toc/CreateATOC.html). If you are creating
the TOC manually, you can add a period leader to the tab stop you use for
the page number (see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/SettingTabs.htm).
