Default word replaced or letter changed removes the next letter word??

When I type a letter & find I have inserted the wrong letter or replace the
complete word insted of just replacing word or letter it wirtes over the next
letter or word so there is no space between removed or replaced but over
writes all so I have to start from begining again & make shure all words &
letters are correct???

Sorry, wrong newsgroup. This newsgroup is for Microsoft Access, a database
application.

However, in Word, you have 2 modes when you type the text: Insert or
Overwrite. Insert will insert the characters you type and moves the
existing characters to the right. Overwrite will replace an existing
character with the character just have just typed in.

To change the mode, hit the "Insert" key on your keyboard.

If you need further help, please post to the relevant newsgroup for Word.
