Default Standard Deviation Plot

I am trying to add standard deviation bars to a series of data points on =

a graph in Excel. Kind of like error bars (I've found the error bar =
menu)=20
only instead of a standard error plot, using the standard deviations =
I've=20
calculated for each data set. In Excel v.X you can only select one=20
number for an entire series of data for its standard deviation...I am=20
looking for a way for each point in my data series to have its own=20
standard deviation on the graph. Please help! Thanks.

Hi Sarah,
Look at the error bar menu again. Near bottom find Custom. The boxes thee
are for the series of data for the + and the - error bar values.

When I look at the "Y Error Bars" tab in Excel 2002, I see a box labeled
"Custom" that allows you to select a range of data for the positive and
negative error bars. You should be able to use that to solve your problem.
