I am trying to make a function so that if the cell is "yes" that it will be
equal to another cell and if it is "no" than it is left blank. How do I do
this?

=IF(A1="Yes",B1,"")
That is a pair of double quotes with nothing between them

The formula looks at A1 and if it has value Yes than the cell with the
formula gets B1's value, otherwise it displays nothing.
Of course, this formula can go in any cell other than A1 or B1
best wishes
