Standard Deviation Plot
I am trying to add standard deviation bars to a series of data points on =
a graph in Excel. Kind of like error bars (I've found the error bar = menu)=20 only instead of a standard error plot, using the standard deviations = I've=20 calculated for each data set. In Excel v.X you can only select one=20 number for an entire series of data for its standard deviation...I am=20 looking for a way for each point in my data series to have its own=20 standard deviation on the graph. Please help! Thanks. |

Standard Deviation Plot
Hi Sarah,
Look at the error bar menu again. Near bottom find Custom. The boxes thee are for the series of data for the + and the - error bar values. Bernard "Sarah" wrote in message ... Please help! Thanks. When I look at the "Y Error Bars" tab in Excel 2002, I see a box labeled "Custom" that allows you to select a range of data for the positive and negative error bars. You should be able to use that to solve your problem. Dave dvt at psu dot edu |
