Error when reinstalling Office Home edition
Hi ..
I am encountering a major problem.... Restarted my laptop and my office application can't work.. decided to delete it and reinstalling from the CD but I get this problem.. 'Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 encountered an error during setup. Error 1317. Setup cannot create the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\Office Setup Controller. Verify that the path exists in your system and that you have sufficient permissions to update it. Error 2330. Setup cannot create the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\Office Setup Controller\Office.en-us. Verify that the path exists in your system and that you have sufficient permissions to update it." Can someone confirm that I have to create the folders in that path before I can install? Any advises are much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

No you dont create any files or paths.

You dont mention the version of windows, in win Help, see System File
