Default Filtering for more than 2+ "does contain" criteria

I have a 10+ column, 10000+ rows. Some clients are repeating due to separate
auto, umbrella, home policies, etc. In column heading COV, I would like to
pull all clients with "AUT" AND "HOM".

Lynne,

Check out Data/Filter/Advanced - it can do exactly what you want.

I am stuck there. I have tried several different criteria options but the
results are not what I am looking for. I need the advanced filter to pull
all clients that have a HOM & AUT in the COV column.

An example is:
A1 JSmith B1 AUT C1 500.00
A2 JSmith B2 HOM C2 200.00
A3 YKell B3 AUT C3 100.00
A4 KJones B4 AUT C4 300.00
A5 KJones B5 HOM C5 250.00

I would like to see it pull JSmith & KJones.

You need a header row. Make A1=Name, B1=Type and C1=Amount. Then enter Type
in E1, HOM in E2 and AUT in E3. Make E1:E3 the criteria range. It should
give you exactly what you want.

I have worked with the Advanced Filter for a few days and don't believe I can
get the result I am looking for. From the example I gave, I would like to
see a list of customers that have both a homeowners and automobile policy
with us. This requires the filter to first look at the customer column and
see JSmith has a AUT and a HOM so this would be included in the list. YKell
would not pass throught the filter since this customer has only a AUT policy.
