Is there any way of preventing these 'Microsoft' and other virus loaded
messages appearing here with such monotonous regularity? Its really getting
on my nerves!

MS is obviously working on it - they've been cut down immensely in
the last day. I haven't seen the worm attachment today, either.

I understand it can be annoying, but try going out to many
non-moderated Usenet newsgroups - it's far worse than the few
messages we're getting.

I must be lucky, I have never seen a single one of these virus attachments
you speak of. Must be the SBC server filtering them out.

Hey guys:
The SBC server might be filtering them out of the newsgroups, but they are
doing a lousy job with email. I've been getting up to thirty at a time, in
my email. Made the mistake of publishing my email address in one of my
posts.

Been with SBC for a year and a half and never gotten a spam or virus
infested email.
I do semi-regularly receive personal emails meant for other people that I
never heard of. So if I have anything really personal to say, I just pick up
the phone instead of worrying if my emails are being sent to people I don't
even know.

I suppose so, just grin and bear it!
Cant see why folks do it though. Perhaps its a kind of virtual graffiti, the
desire to spoil things and upset others, completely disregarding the
feelings of anyone else.
If there were a financial or some other advantatage to be gained I could
maybe understand it better, but it just seems to be the desire to destruct
other peoples enjoyment for no reason other than to do just that.
Bad luck to all virus people.
