Exporting connecting lines from visio to excel/db
Greetings.
We have large, complex system interface diagrams in visio - lots of boxes for the systems, and connecting lines between the boxes for interfaces. once all the shape info is exported, how do I tell what lines connected which boxes? I would hate to have to look up the start/end coordinates and correlate them against the rectangle outlines. I would love to hear that it's something like the connector has a shape ID for the shape it connects to at its source end, and another shape id for the shape at the head. thanks much |

The good news is that they do have id's. The better news is there are
examples in the visio sdk on how to extract the data from a drawing. There is also an example on how to chase connections (a drawing explorer). al "Dr Mike Bienvenu" wrote: Greetings.
