Hi there.....are you in every news group on the planet?? (G) Perhaps
you can answer the Outlook question I asked. Just posted it in OE, of course. But these folks are the ones I know from way back........other than that poseur, Hines. Cheers......Heather "FromTheRafters" wrote in message ... A poster's method of posting has nothing to do with the group's purpose. Had he used netcat would he be restricted to groups about whatever he chose to put in the headers? Maybe it's his other computer. Maybe it's a friend's computer - OK maybe *that's* a stretch...but maybe he paid someone to let him use their computer. You can never be sure about header information's authenticity. Same goes for version information - which reminds me of the times I posted with AVG's signature [spam] modified to show a newer database file than anyone else had. "alpha" wrote in message ... PMS or that sort of thing? |

No, the only way to use OE on a Vista machine is to run another OS (e.g. XP, Win98) in a Virtual machine environment and post and mail from that. Ugh, that's a shame. OE has been a reliable, simple mail client for me for several years. I've tried using WLM and it's just not what I need. I'd be more inclined to switch to Thunderbird well before I'd put up with WLM. Chalk up another lost user due to MS destroying yet another product through removing functionality. |

They don't seem to realize that users have an intimate relationship with
their mail client. It's the part of the OS which they see and use the most, every day. So Microsoft needs to put its best foot forward and make the mail client really shine and be powerful, yet elegant and glitch-free. -- DSH Lux et Veritas et Libertas Vires et Honor "Bill Kearney" wrote in message t...
