Default Excel Pie Chart - labels overlapping

I've been able to prevent labels from overlapping and moving all over in
two ways. The first is not to use labels. The second is to stick with
short labels and not use the Best Fit label position (format the labels,
Alignment tab, Center or Inside End option). Neither of these ways is
very appealing, is it?

I have a Excel pie chart that is populated with dynamic data. When the
data changes, the labels on the pie chart move. This means that many of
the labels are overlapping, and some are even off the viewable area.
Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?
