Default lost e-mail

i have cancelled an "identity"and lost all the mail attached to it. is it
possible to retreive it?

Start by doing an Advanced search and include Hidden Files and Folders.
Search for:

*.dbx

Do you find any from the vanquished identity?

You can at least get back the ones still on the server by creating a new
idenitity for that account. It will redownload any messages still left
even if they've been read by the other identity..
