Accessing existing InBox, etc from OE2000 after installing Office 2003 - How to
Hi,
This is a correction of my recent post incorrectly submitted under the subject "Accessing existing InBox, etc from OE2999 after installing Office 2003 - How to" I just installed Office 2003 and, using its Help menu, was able to recover all my newsgroup servers and the specifc newsgroups I had subscribed to -- looks great. In the process, I also got a bunch of local folders where I had saved stuff from my InBox. What I didn't get is my existing InBox. There is a new, essentially empty InBox my Outlook Personal-Folders. What can I do to get this new InBox populated with messages from the Office 2000 InBox? (I still see a couple of InBox folders on my file system under my username and with 300+MBs each). Correction: I was running OE6, not OE2000
Hi,
Here's another correction: I was running OE6, not OE 2000, before I installed MS Office 2003. I am running Windows2000Pro with latest service packs and security updates. Problem solved ... one more question
Hi,
I put an OE icon on my Start menu. When I next started OE, I was informed in a popup that OE wasn't my default email client and offered my the option of electing it, which I did. Then when I clicked on a newsgroup, I got another popup the OE wasn't my default newsreader. Since things seem to be working fine, should I decline this change or not. What are the pros and cons? TIA, Richard "Richard L" wrote in message ...
