Default Downgrade certain components of Office 2007 to 2003

Two months ago we purchased new workstations and 5 Office 2007 Small
Business volume licenses. Like many others, after working with
word/excel we have found that we hate the new interfaces and want to go
back to Office 2003. The volume licenses come with product keys for
Office 2003 so we have no problems there.

While word and excel are hateful, outlook is tolerable.

So Question 1 is: Can I downgrade only word/excel/powerpoint to 2003
and keep outlook 2007?

Understanding that the answer to Question 1 above is probably "no":
Once I downgrade, will outlook 2003 be able to convert my office 2007
pst without losing any data?

Thanks very much in advance for your assistance!

OL2003 & OL2007 use the same format pst by default (unicode)
If Word 2003 is used you will lose some of the Word2007 functions in OL2007

Since O2007 is here to stay why not take the plunge
