Copying org chart boxes
In a new org chart, I placed a "position" box and put some text in it
(turned off name display, only keeping title display). I also resized the box. When I Ctrl-drag to copy the box, the new copy has the default size i.e. same size as before I resized. How do I prevent the default size from taking effect on the copy? I want an exact copy. Thanks. |

Right click the shape you want to copy. Open it's shape sheet. In the Shape
trans form section, replace the entries for width and height with the literal values that you want. May have to guard these values. Close the shape sheet. Copy should no preserve the size. Copying org chart boxes
Glad it helped. If you want all of a particular shape to have a non-default
size, you can do the same thing to the shape located on the document stencil. Changes there can be used 1.) to propagate thru all of your existing placements, and 2.) good for any new drag and drops.
