advance find not working in public contacts after Exchg 2003SP1 up
I am running exchange 2003 SP1 on windows 2003. My outlook client is also
2003. I have a public contact folder that everyone uses for emailing clients. the problem is that since I updated to SP1 in exchange, I now am not able to do an advanced find either for the public contacts or email. In the system manager on exchange 2003, full text indexing shows that it is working however the number of documents indexed shows 0. I tried doing a full population and still the same result. How would I go about fixing this? |

Can you give an example of the kind of search you've done and what happened
when you did it? -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Rox" wrote in message ... advance find not working in public contacts after Exchg 2003SP
Well, when i do a search for a contact name that i know is in the list of
3000 contacts, it shows no items found double click here to create a new contact. when i hit clear then all of the contacts return and i can manually locate the contact. when i search for an email. when i do an advanced find in subject field and message body for any email that contains specific content that i have searched for before and found, and can manually locate the email, it comes up empty. Search (advanced find) does not work anymore. Are you using Find and Advanced Find against a cached folder in Public
Folders\Favorites or an online folder? Cached Exchange mode? -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Rox" wrote in message ... No folders are cached. this is in real time over the network connection to
exchange public folders. this also hapens to local folders on the exchange folders. You might note that the full text indixing on the stores show 0 instead of a number like 2,003. i think this has something to do with it because isn't indexing supposed to allow for searches and to make them faster? Sue,
Missed hearing from you. I haven't been able to find any solution over the internet. Any luck?
