mail merge recipients table
When I merge a word document with an Access database I
find that the formatting of numeric fields is incorrect. The original table is formatted to 2 decimal places but in the Mail Merge Recipients window and in the merged document the decimal places are numerous. Also there are fields which include calculations in the original table but the calculated data does not appear in the Mail Merge recipients window nor in the merged document. Can anyone help? |

mail merge recipients table
See "Formatting Word fields with switches" on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's
website at http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm For the calculation problem, you may be able to do the calculation in word by putting the base mergefields inside an { = } field construction in the mailmerge main document. Alternatively, if you check the "Confirm conversions at Open" box under Tools OptionsGeneral and change the connection method, the calculated data may appear. -- Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis. Hope this helps Doug Robbins - Word MVP "sueP" wrote in message ...
