Default Excell/Word slow to open

I am recently experiencing difficulty in opening spreadsheets and word
documents. Each time it is taking about 2 minutes to open. I am running Small
Business 2003 on Windows XP.

I have checked my security as usual with McAfee, but nothing has been
identified.

Any suggestions of what the problem might be would be much appreciated.

Thanks
