Default Help One Note Product Code not recognized

Please help I downloaded MS One Note because I am installing on a tablet
with no CD drive. I do have the Ms official CD with Activation code but it
is not being recognized... Suggestions?

Probably because you downloaded a different flavor of OneNote. Can you
borrow an external drive?

(And I have to ask this because I'm curious: How do you intend to load any
software if you don't have a disk drive?)

Thank you for responding, JoAnn: XP Tablet (or at least the IBM X41 flavor
of it) does have a virtual CD-ROM, but using it is an involved process, and
it does not seem to work well with recent Microsoft installers.

I will try contacting MS Support on Monday, but I suspect you are correct.

Any additional advice would be welcome.

Virtual CD-ROM? How does one install a program on a real disk with a virtual
drive? (I'm being quite serious. I don't understand why people even consider
that lack of hardware.)
